Lytton Commission (sep 18, 1931 – sep 1, 1932)
Description:
The Lytton Commission was the League of Nation's response to the Mukden Incident. Lord Lytton was sent to Manchuria to investigate what had happened there. In the Lytton Report, one year after the start of the Commission, the League of Nations affirms that the invasion is ilegitimate, unacceptable and unjustified, that Japan must withdraw, and that Manchukuo should not be recognized as a state.
