Plato (jan 1, 427 BC – jan 1, 347 BC)
Description:
Plato was a great Athenian philosopher mentored by Socrates. He was a prolific writer and wrote Socrates into many of his plays such as The Symposium. He often used characters to voice his opinions. He also founded the Academy which was a school of learning. He studied mathematics, philosophy, wrote the Republic, and other well known works.
