Korematsu vs. U.S. (may 30, 1942 – dec 18, 1944)
Description:
Fred Korematsu was a Japanese American, which meant he was subject to Executive Order 9066 (internment camp), but he decided to not follow the rules and try to escape these camps. Arrested and tried, and the court ruled that these internments were justified because this was times of "EMERGENCY AND PERIL" and civil liberties are usually at stake/taken away during crisis.
