Cash and Carry (Neutrality Act 1939): allowed the transportation of arms by the US only if the nation pays (IN CASH) for their weapon and has to carry it themselves back to their place. [The small/beginning shift away from isolationsm]
Lend-Lease Act: allowed the U.S. to lend/give war supplies to any nation "deemed vital to the defence of the United States" (a way for the U.S to help it's allies without actually engaing/joining WWII)
