WW2 (jan 1, 1940 – jan 1, 1945)
Description:
World War II prompted the U.S Government to make
decisions that were considered “war-time necessities.” These major decisions
impacted the economic, social, and political identity of the United States.
WW2 purpose was to stop the imperialism of the axis powers (Germany, Japan, Italy) and the spread of communism. Meanwhile WW1 was due to the U.S at first did not want to get involved because it had nothing to due with them but the Zimmerman telegram and the bombing of a ship that contained U.S citizens by behalf of Germany U.S joined. Similar to ww1 U.S didn't want to enter the war but due to foreign aggression the U.S was eventually dragged in. And in both wars policies that were considered war time necessities leading to things such as the red scarce.
