Description:
New innovations in manufacturing increased production, steel became major industry, electricity revolutionized urban centers and manufacturing, and the internal combustion engine. Germany became the industrial leader by 1870. Industrialization spread to places such as Russia and Japan. Woman began to join the working force especially in white collar jobs (clerks, secretaries, etc. offering freedom to women)
