-Brought continuation of rivalry between Rome and the Parthians along the Euphrates frontier and an intensification of trade along the Silk Road. Other that that, it differed from its Parthian predecessor.
-Cities in Iran were small walled communities that served more as military strong points, protection, and long-distance trade centers than as centers of population and production.
