Rebirth Generation (Gen 8) (dec 18, 2022 – apr 17, 2023)

Description:

The Rebirth Generation began on December 18, 2022, when Boone gave Moogle the ability to give other players perms to areas on queue. This reinvigorated the queue community and created hope within the community that had not been there during the Fifth Queue Death. The weekly shop would also be rotated for the first time in over two months, with the diamond pickaxe coming back in rotation for the second consecutive Christmas. Auction house members would also be given a Christmas gift with 4 Christmas auctions along with a mapart auction for New Years. Master Baiters began to run tournaments announcing the addition on New Year's Eve in conjunction with a new diamond axe shop. N4x and Endocannibalism would become the first players to combine two plots together to make the first superplot on queue. And queue would update to 1.19.3 after Purity's seed was leaked. This large wave of new content provided by staff members would create a saturation of content that increased the necessity for new content. Although new content would come to queue, it would come from the playerbase, not the staff team.
The Badmin Brigade was a wave of farmables that would become public to the queue server in a very short period of time. StuckChicken would initiate the Badmin Brigade as she would make azalea public after obtaining it from the IJN Ryunosuke months prior. Makanat, POGNUGGET, SlSCO, N4x, StuckChicken, and NilNell would pull off the Worldguard Exploit which would release sugar cane and all tall flowers. And Dogmilk would purchase a melon seed from Splzh and make it public. These new farmables allowed multiple dyes and paper to become free and provided queue with a wave of farmables never seen at this rate.
Throughout the beginning of 2023, the void would begin to spread on queue, infecting builds along the way. This spread would strengthen Void Cult who would begin to hold meetings again. This eventually led to the capture of Dunkey who would be imprisoned within Old Queue. Boone however, would disguise as a color gang member and break into the prison. While there, he would talk to Dunkey and receive a note. He then set up clues around queue to get to the key he had hidden within the prison and gave the key to I8mydog to auction. I8mydog would then auction the item in the auction house beginning the scavenger hunt.
The Rebirth Generation came to an end when a large number of mostly newer players formed a group called Endless Possibilities. This group would consist of most of the new wave of players on queue and would influence the next couple months after the Rebirth Generation.
