World War V (jan 1, 1996 – jan 1, 1996)
Description:
Nuclear war eventually came, although it was not as bad as the world expected. An error in a British base in Greenland resulted in hundreds of millions dying during nuclear annihilation, with a billion dying in the coming years from nuclear winter and supply chain breakdowns. Some governments, such as America, China and India survived, although in a very reduced form, while other nations not aligned to the Americans or Paneuropans or far enough away from the major powers managed to go fairly unscathed.
