Description:
The Montgomery Bus Boycott was a political and social protest campaign. The protest was made by blacks against the policy of racial segregation of the public transit system of Montgomery, Alabama. It was a beginning event of the civil rights movement. The boycott which lasted 381 days resulted in the Supreme Court ruling segregation on public buses unconstitutional.
