The Seven Years' War was a global conflict that involved most major European powers. France helped Maria Theresa get back Silesia from England-allied Prussians. Territorial skirmishes in North America caused the French and British to go to war, drawing in Native Americans, as they fought over North America (in conflicts better known as the French-Indian War) and India. The Treaty of Paris ratified British victory and granted all but one of France’s possessions in India to the British.Added to timeline:
