Description:
WWII began when Hitler invaded Poland in September 1939 which caused Great Britain and France to declare war on Germany. For six years the war took more lives and destroyed more than any previous war. Also, 6 million Jews were murdered in Nazi concentration camps. On Dec. 7, 1941, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor killing more than 2,300 troops. On Dec. 8, Congress declared war on Japan. Germany and the Axis Powers immediately declared war on the United States.
