Description:
Milan returned to the commune form of local government first established in the 11th century. Rambertino Buvalelli served a term as podestá of the city in 1208, Luca Grimaldi served in 1242, and Luchetto Gattilusio served in 1282. The position was a dangerous one.Added to timeline:
