Description:

Hitler launched an attack
on the USSR.
3 million soldiers in 153 divisions poured
across the frontier into the USSR.
Blitzkrieg tactics against the USSR had
devastating effects.

Germans had almost reached Moscow.
Stalin almost surrendered.
German advances continued in 1942 but
Red Army used the Russian Winter to
reorganize themselves.
This would allow the USSR to turn the
tables and defeat Hitler.
