War of the Austrian Succession (jan 1, 1740 – jan 1, 1748)
Description:
the Habsburg emperor Charles VI didn't have a male heir and made the Pragmatic Sanction that European powers saw his daughters as his heir. But when he died it was pushed aside by Frederick II who had recently succeeded Prussia and seeing the weakness of Charles daughter the French got involved to take Austria. Austria then allied with Great Britain
