Enduring Understanding: The Second Industrial Revolution caused massive economic and social gaps between groups in America. Disadvantaged communities responded by organizing and protesting against these disparities.
Steel production increased as well as fuel to aid in transportation. Mass production also occurred with goods being made quickly and in bulk causing them to be cheaper. Transportation helped in distributing the goods as It expanded the market and helped the economy grow. Working-class citizens could easily live comfortably in these conditions. New technology was also produced such as radios and weapons which improved way of life.
