Establishing Colonial Identities 1607 - 1754 (mar 18, 1504 – jan 1, 1607)
Description:
Although Puritans left England as a result of religious persecution, they in turn created a system of theocratic oppression in the New England colonies.
Northern Colonies were mostly based on industrialization. Middle and Southern Colonies were based around agriculture, however the Middle Colonies had a splash of industrialization, too. Furthermore, the Southern Colonies were mainly based around agriculture, as they relied on indentured servants/slaves for labor and profit. Hence, the North being more about freedom, and the South being conservative. But, depending on the state, the Middle Colonies were choosing either one.
