Pogroms (mar 9, 1881 – jun 2, 1917)
Description:
Pogroms were Russian anti-Semitic massacres. These common and bloody instances forced many Jews to flee to America, in order to escape brutal persecution. Pogroms were one of the results of a vast ethnic diversity and a strong sense of Russian nationalism in Russia.
