Description:
During the Indian freedom struggle, Mahatma Gandhi advocated many peaceful protests and demonstrations. These protests were conducted with the principle of non-violence (ahimsa), and eventually led to India's freedom from the British colonial rule. He is revered globally as a champion non-violence, and sparked a global movement practiced even today.
