British and Spanish Arrival (jan 1, 1793 – dec 31, 1793)
Description:
A war between Great Britain and France had started in 1793.
The Grand Blancs in Saint-Domingue gave power to the British so they could hopefully reimpose the practice of slavery.
The Spanish joined the conflict soon after in an alliance with Britain. This was in Spain's best interest, as they managed the rest of the island in which Saint-Domingue resided.
