Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (oct 1, 1968 – oct 31, 1968)
Description:
It designates certain rivers as "Wild and Scenic", meaning that it is illegal to channel it, or dam it up. Most of these rivers are in National and State Parks. This is significant since it is able to preserve some of our most pristine landmarks this nation has to offer, and the rivers that flow through them will be kept in their natural state, preserving them for as long as we live.
