Battle of Savannah (Aka The Siege of Savannah) (sep 16, 1779 – oct 20, 1779)
Description:
In 1778, the British took the coastal city of Savannah. General Benjamin Lincoln and his troops were able to launch offensive operations against the British with the help of the French army. Charles Hector d'Estaing brought 4,000 French soldiers. The British were led by Augustine Prévost. The result was British victory.
