Description:
-organised by COFO (coalition of CORE, SCLC, NAACP, SNCC), with SNCC Bob Moses in charge-goal: increase black voter registration (but of 17,000 who attempted to register, only 1600 were able to)
-Freedom Schools (30 across Mississippi): educate blacks about civil rights issues + general black history, & encourage voter registration
