Although a Tyrant, Pisistratus did disturb existing magistrates, and was said to present himself as a partisan of the city-dwellers and the poor
He first gained power in 561 BC, Losing it the next year
In 558 he regained power, but was expelled 3 years later in 555 BC by Megacles
In 446 Pisistratus regained power for a third time, but this time he remained as Tyrant for a long period until 528-527 BC, when he finally died
