World War I (jul 28, 1914 – nov 11, 1918)
Description:
TURNING POINT: World War I, despite not being in the war for most of the fight, it was still huge especially on the home front. The home front saw a systematic mobilization of the entire population and the entire economy to produce the soldiers, food supplies, munitions, and money needed to win the war. It also united the whole country to work together, it put more women into the work force, and lastly it made the U.S. seem like a real world power.
