Mass Killings (apr 24, 1915 – may 21, 1918)
Description:
The Ottoman Government deported Armenian civilians out of Eastern Anatolia and into concentration camps in the desert. Systematic killings were instigated by killing squads primarily made up of criminals, many Armenians also starved to death with the total death toll being between 600,000 - 1,000,000.
