Young Turks (jan 1, 1908 – dec 31, 1913)
Description:
Through a successful coup and overthrowing Sultan Abdülhamid II, Constantinople became home to Mehmed Talaat Pasha, Ismail Enver Pasha and Ahmed Djemal Pasha. These three leaders were a part of an ultranationalist group known as the Young Turks. Their political views encouraged mistreatment of Armenians and these leaders became the instigators of the Armenian Genocide.
