Warsaw Pact - Maggie (may 14, 1955 – mar 31, 1991)
Description:
The Warsaw Pact was the Eastern European version of NATO. The Warsaw Pact consisted of Soviet Russia and it's satellite countries, Poland and other countries in Eastern Europe. They provided each other with military and financial support. The significance of this to the Cold War was that those who signed the treaty were marked as clear enemies of the United States and it's allies. This resulted in heightened tensions in Eastern Europe.
