UN Invasion of North Korea - Emily (sep 1, 1950 – nov 1, 1950)
Description:
As North Korea, with help from the USSR, had started to invade and spread communist politics, the United States had seen an opportunity to act upon its containment policy. Because the Soviet representative of the UN was boycotting, the US was able to hold and pass its containment policy for N. Korea without a veto and able to gain support from the United Nations. With the approval, Truman ordered General MacArthur to mobilize troops to Korea but had been pushed back to the Pusan port. American forces were able to push back North Korean forces by enacting an invasion at the Inchon port and pushing them back past the 38th parallel, the division between North and South Korea.
