Warsaw Pact (may 14, 1955 – mar 31, 1991)
Description:
The pact was formed with member states East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, and the Soviet Union. It was the Soviet Union's response to the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It came to be seen as a military threat to the U.S. and a sign of Communism.
