Disease and Thomas Sydenham (jan 1, 1624 – jan 1, 1689)

Description:

He believed it was important to find cures that worked repeatedly to certain illnesses and that diseases were real entities. Unlike Harvey, he did not support iatrochemistry and iatrophysics. He strongly believed that practices for treating diseases should not come from science, but from experiences by the bedside. He took detailed notes of patient symptoms to build disease histories and look for patterns.
