Description:

The July Crisis is the period of time at the beginning of World War 1 where the European powers made different diplomatic manoeuvres that initially tried to prevent a war but eventually led to the declarations of war between the large European powers.

The period begins on 28th June 1914 with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and ends with the deceleration of war by Austria-Hungary on Russia.
