Hippocrates (dec 1, 460 BC – dec 1, 375 BC)
Description:
Hippocrates had a naturalistic approach to disease and believed that disease was a result of natural causes that could be explained by natural phenomena such as regional weather. He also stressed the empirical side of interpreting data and relied less on speculation/theorizing which was often seen in rationalist thinking. Additionally, he developed the theory of the four humors and how disease is caused by an imbalance in any of the 4.
