Description:
The light bulb was first invented by Thomas Edison in 1879. The incandescent light bulb was a light with a filament that made the bulb glow. along with the light. The invention of the light bulb took place in Menlo Park. It was a challenge for Edison to find a material which could be used as the filament. Eventually he used cotton soaked in carbon which then caused it to glow. This light bulb was battery powered and was expensive.
