Mr. Corruthers Killed (jan 1, 1779 – dec 31, 1779)
Description:
Adam Files' sons were horse hunting and ran into a band of Tories and Indians. One son ran home to warn others. Files, his other sons, and Mr. Corruther hid in Wilson Creek. They were discovered, Corruther's who was shot and kiled. The elder Files was shot and ultimately died, one son was also shot but escaped.Added to timeline:
