Description:

Sometime between July 9th and July 18th, a detachment of Lt. Col. William Washington’s 3rd Continental Dragoons (VA) defeated two unnamed companies of British dragoons killing a few and capturing fifty prisoners. The location of this engagement is currently unknown. It was mentioned that it happened while patrolling the roads between McCord's Ferry and Charles Town.
