Description:
The American Revolution occurred in the years between 1765 and 1783. The event occurred because American settlers were unhappy with Britain's rule from afar, specifically, they were unhappy with the heavy taxes and tariffs imposed upon their economy. The revolution contributed to classic liberalism by laying the foundation for Economic Freedom; Britain would not let them have Economic Freedom, so they took it for themselves.
