Description:
Summer Workshop ’75, under the direction of Karen Steele, saw a drop in enrollment. Guest artists were: Danny Lewis and his Contemporary Dance Systems of New York City, Virginia Tanner, Mary Ann Walton (Lee), Evelyn O. Jensen, a music composer, and David Kranes, playwright. The Summerdance series consisted of an RDT concert shared with Contemporary Dance Systems (NIGHTSPELL by Doris Humphrey, DEAD HEAT by Mathew Diamond, DAY ON EARTH by Humphrey, and and FIRST THEY SLAUGHTERED THE ANGELS by Danny Lewis), another RDT concert (BETWEEM ME AND OTHER PEOPLE. . ., FILLIGREE IN THE FIVE PARTS, STILL LIFE, TINTAL, and DIAMOND (1:4), AND TWO CONCERTS FOR STUDENTS PERFORMAING NEW COMPANY CHOREOGRAPHY.Read reviews of the performances in the attachments below.
