Potsdam Conference (1945) (jul 17, 1945 – aug 2, 1945)

Description:

-Truman replaced FDR
-Stalin did not allow self-determination in East Europe
-US did not like how USSR was taking over much of Eastern Europe
-Stalin started taking over to create a "buffer zone" in case of invasion
-Made several agreements
-Nazi war criminals would be put on trial
-Statement of German occupation: demilitarization, denazification, democratization, decentralization, dismantling and decartelization
-All German annexations in Europe would be reversed
