Cornet Goerge Carrington was assigned by Lt Col Lee to escort the twenty British prisoner taken at the wagons to a secure location. Enroute Loyalist ambushed Carrington detail near Orangeburgh freeing seventeen of the British prisoners.Added to timeline:
