Skirmish at Blakely's Plantation (mar 15, 1781 – mar 16, 1781)
Description:
After being harassed at Witherspoon's Plantation, Lt. Col. John Watson Tadwell-Watson moved his army to Blakely's Plantation, about a half-mile further upriver. However, this location had fewer trees to impede the view of the many Patriot snipers that soon found them and besieged them. He requested permission to move wounded to Charles Town unmolested and was granted a pass by General Marion. Exact location of Blakely's Plantation is unknown, point is a general area based on description of action.
