Skirmish at Charles Town/Ferguson's Plantation (mar 6, 1780 – mar 7, 1780)
Description:
Two British light infantry battalions tried to surprise the American cavalry near Ferguson’s plantation, by crossing the Wappoo River and marching throughout the night. The Patriots were warned and escaped. Eight of the British troops were left behind due to exhaustion and captured by the Continental Light Dragoons.
