Crisis of the Third Century (284 - 641 AD) (oct 12, 284 – mar 7, 641)
Description:
This crisis was initiated by the assassination of the current Emperor Severus Alexander. Following this, many attempted to claim the position of emperor with no success. There was also a combination of the plague, civil wars, invasions and the downfall of the economy. This lead to the potential demise of the Roman Empire, but it withstood eventually.
