Quadi and Marcomanni Siege of Aquileia (nov 1, 166 – feb 1, 167)
Description:
Coordinated invasion with the help of Ballomarus, a Marcomannus. After overwhelming garrisons between Saale and Lower Danube, and two victories over the Romans, they besiege Aquileia. The defenders and the whole population, increased by the masses of refugees from the countryside, assisted by strong walls, rebuff the attacks. Opertergium is destroyed.Added to timeline:
