Per Ignatius:> Docetics are gaining adherents and refusing the Eucharist; docetic and proto-orthodox advocates advance the same scripturally-based arguments against each other.
> Judaizers are disparaged, attesting to some measure of their ongoing influence.
Writings from this era (Ignatius, Polycarp, and Jude) all suggest that the Christian laity continued to be more tolerant of the doctrinal diversity in their midst than the literary elites would have it.
