Description:

Jesus’ Davidic pedigree and the narratives of the virgin birth, his childhood, and pre-baptismal activities are developed. Much of this content may have been dealing with questions of scandal relating to his parentage. Notably, these narratives are completely at odds with one another, especially in comparison to the rest of the synoptic storyline, implying this tertiary stage of development.

There are hints that the idea of the resurrected Jesus reuniting with his disciples in Galilee was a late addition to the synoptic gospel narrative.
