Plant cells with nuclei discorvered (jan 1, 1838 – jan 1, 1838)
Description:
Theodor Schwann and Matthias Jakob Schleiden discussed their cell research over dinner in 1838. Schwann considered that Schleiden's description of plant cells having nuclei was similar to his studies of animal tissues. They were compelled to go to Schwann's lab in order to view his slides as a result.
