Glorious Revolution (jan 1, 1688 – dec 10, 1689)
Description:
Increasing unpopularity of James II as well as concerns that he was conspiring to ally with France to make England Catholic and become a dictator led to a revolution led by the Dutch William of Orange. It ended with the succession of William III and his wife Mary (James II's daughter) and the signing of the Bill of Rights. Known as the Bloodless Revolution due to a very easy conquest with little combat.Added to timeline:
