Description:
Consistent policy of the American government to attempt to assimilate Native Americans into the US nation. They didn't understand the Native Americans alien ways and traditions. The government implemented a series of policies aiming to assimilate Native Americans:
- reservation policy (1871- 87)
- allotment policy (1887 - 1934)
- termination policy (1953 - 69)
