Description:
The late 1800’s to early 1900’s was the time the Jim Crow Laws were established and heavily discriminated people of colour. These were laws that were established after the abolishment of slavery and the inferiority that white people felt after they thought that they would have to become equals with black people. These laws had divided America, segregating black people from white people. These laws were highly offensive and had separated coloured people from parks, cemeteries, theatres, restaurants, public transport, schools, in general any place where the public congregated, black people were segregated from white people.Added to timeline:
